After I got to math class... Prof. De Long wasn't even there.
We had a substitute for the day and we just listened to today's chapter lecture. To be honest... this sub's teaching method is a lot easier to follow than Prof. De Long's instructions. It's mainly my problem, because I sometimes cannot understand Prof. De Long's Russian accent. I can figure out Asian accents, but European accents are a little difficult...
Like my Polish chemistry teacher from high school... every time she said "sour", she was really saying "sore". One time, she was trying to say, "most acids are sour, because we associate acid with sour fruit." But what came out of her mouth was, "moss ashes are sore, vikaus we ashowsiate ashes with sore foot." I shouldn't be making fun of her because I was her favored top-student and she really was an awesome but strict teacher. Even though the accent was hard to understand, I managed to slowly adjust to it and pass the class fully understanding everything she said. Aww... now I miss Ms. Dudek.
After math class and drawing Pascal's Triangles, I went home, ate some tofu soup, watched "Ratatouille" for the 37th time, and enjoyed a nice bottle of melon ramune.
Ohh... Ramune... how I've missed you...

I watched a few random clips from "Explorers of the Human Body", mainly I watched the world's hottest pepper insane taste testing special and the side effects of N2O (laughing gas) special. The laughing gas special is always fun to watch, because the celebrities get high off of the laughing gas and they stumble around while laughing like maniacs. Then I started watching some videos of "Japan-o-rama", it's an awesome British documentary on Japanese culture. There's different themed episodes: Otaku Culture, Pop Art, Music, Bushido, Ultraman, Godzilla, Ai and Koi, Kawaii, Harujuku, Comedy...
I was watching the Comedy segment and they did a fun interview with "Hard Gay," he is so funny. Hard Gay fights crime by repeatedly thrusting his groin in the criminal's face... Well, he mainly attacks people who litter or ditch school.
I got a little carried away and watched more than one episode...
I wasted a good amount of time by watching the random videos.
Today, I was thinking about doing some instrument recording, but I don't have a microphone. The last time I used a microphone was when I borrowed my roommate's built-in laptop microphone to record for the karaoke contest on NSL. Built-in mics like that are really bad, because they're omnidirectional (pick up random sounds from everywhere). I was shopping around on the internet for a good high quality mic and I found a really nice "Shure" mic (one of the best) for a decent price, orig:$110, but the one I found was brand new and discounted for $60, IT'S HALF PRICED!!! I wanted to get and I asked my dad about the specs, because my dad knows a lot about electronics and radio equipment. My dad told me not to but one because we have so many other mics in the basement. I went downstairs to look but I did see them. Then, my uncle who lives in the basement wanted to know why I came downstairs to bother him with my junk digging. I told him that I was looking for microphones. My uncle told me to wait and he walked upstairs and outside to his car. I followed him up and then he comes back into the house with a large NBC (my uncle used to work with the newscasting crews of Chicago) bag. From inside the bag, he pulled out a few mics, a large switchboard equalizer and a bunch of cords. I have no idea why my uncle carries professional sound equipment with him. But he let me play with it for tonight, yay! Something else for me to break, just kidding...
So many buttons and knobs, must resist urge to adjust random switches.
I need to go to sleep soon because I have to wake up early to get on the Metra to go to work. Yeah... I'm going to go play with the sound equipment now.
