The game isn't really that new.
Miki bought me "Devil May Cry 4" for PS3 a long time ago and I haven't opened it until today.

Wow, the graphics are so nice and pretty and it's my first PS3 game. As nice as the graphics are... the gameplay feels a little repetitive. In my opinion, Devil May Cry is losing it's edge in this 4th installment. I remember when I played the first Devil May Cry, the random scary noises made me paranoid and the demons were freaky and haunting. I couldn't play a mission without getting nightmares. Those puppet monsters were frightening, every time they walked towards you, it sounded like rattling bones, it was so scary.
But the 4th game... it felt like I was playing "Chaos Legion." Chaos Legion came out a little bit after Devil May Cry, but the game was modeled in a similar manner. Missions were repetitive.... clear this area, explore this place, and retrieve "that" item. The other thing is... This version of Devil May Cry doesn't even scare me. The monsters look like Frankenstein rag-dolls wielding crescent blades and walk funny because they have peg-legs. To top it off, they're too easy to kill.

I agree with everyone else though, the graphics are awesome, the gameplay is bloody nice, the new abilities are fun, the maps are wicked, the bosses are tough, and the storyline is as epic as always.
Until next time, bye again.
