Life's short and boring...

For those who are unfamiliar with what my "Gekiuma Hunts" are all about;
it is a epic quest in search of the ultimately superior absolutely mouth-watering self-sacrificial extremely delicious food item.

My Gekiuma Hunts require a lot of work, research and intel:

1. you need a specific food item to become interested in.
2. gather tons of information through research.
3. internet is nice, but it is unwise to trust the opinions of internet strangers.
4. nothing beats old fashioned "word-of-mouth" from your trusted friends.
5. review all of your data.
6. pinpoint the location of destination(s)
7. go off on your hunt and good luck!

My current food of obsession is "creampuffs"
I have a lead!!! Rumors are: "Beard Papa!"
They're specially made Japanese creampuffs, the texture is supposed to be unbelievable and claimed to be the greatest creampuff in the whole Chicagoland area! I can't wait to start this hunt.
By the way, I actually plan real far ahead too.... I already have intel on where the ultimate "purin" is in Japan.
I'm vacationing to Japan soon, I already have a line-up of hunts for "katsu", "(famous) Hokkaido chips", "okonomiyaki", "natto", "fish sausage", "ume onigiri" and "purin".
