I'm so excited!!!! ACen is 4 days away. I've been studying my math, I will surely get more than 40% on the math final! I know I can! But... I'm not done with my online test and homework yet. It's almost midnight, but maybe as long as I turn it in before class starts I should be fine.

I finally got my awesome USB flash drive. It came in!
THANK YOU ARATA-SENPAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so happy you actually went through the trouble of buying it for me. I love my Falcon Bloody Monday USB card, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! The USB card is so cool, it looks just like the card from the Bloody Monday drama!!! The best part is.... it works on my computer!!!!!!! The description from the Japanese website stated that the flash drive only worked on Japanese computers. I proved that wrong, it works on mine!

This USB flash drive is really cool, an exact replica of Falcon's USB!

It operates normally on my computer, so I don't see why the website said Japanese only?

It's so awesome, it has Falcon's infamous logo etched into it.

It's so metallic and shiny!!! It's really light weight!
My favorite feature of the flash drive is the fact that the USB port is retractable!

This is the other side of the flash drive with the USB port retracted.

Just like from the drama, it has the motto "SAVE THE DATA," it's a spin off of another term used with the drama, "SAVE THE EARTH" which is the name of Bloody Monday's OST. This Falcon USB is exclusive only to Japan!!! I'm so lucky to actually own this! These are made in limited quantities, so they're limited edition! I've been wandering on the web and different forums/communities, apparently every Bloody Monday fan is trying to get their hands on this Falcon USB. But the main issue for them is finding an online store that sold them and if they did find a store, they need to be a resident of Japan to even buy it. I've tried looking for US dealers to make it a little easier, but to no avail. I was only able to get my Falcon USB because of senpai.

I'm glad Arata is my friend, not just for getting things from Japan for me, but when she still lived in Chicago, I was happy to have someone like her to hang out and talk with. Arata was kind and listened to my stories about my dark past and even though I revealed who I was in the past, Arata still excepted me. Arata once told me that people make mistakes and people do horrible things in their past, but as long as you are the person I know and became friends with now, in the present, then I have no right to judge you based on who you "were," because I like you as who you "became." You learned from your mistakes and you made yourself into who you are now, that is why you are my friend and that is why you are a good person. After I heard Arata's small speech I actually cried a little, it made me so happy to hear Arata say that, I cried tears of joy. I told Arata this before she left but, she was the one who pulled me out of darkness, she was the one who brought my smile back. I've felt betrayed on so many occasions, I thought I would never be able to trust anyone again...(oh no, I'm starting to cry) then Arata came along and showed me that there are still some great people out there in the world. I was able to smile again because of Arata, for so long, there hasn't been a person who has shown me such kindness to my self-proclaimed undeserving self. Meeting Arata in art class was a blessing.

Anyways *wiping tears* moving on...
Okay, so I started working on packing my stuff for my stay at the "aLoft Hotel" nearby the anime convention. I'm staying for two nights, but I have to pack enough things for three days. I packed a lot of things! Everything for my survival needs, all in my suitcase. I AM PREPARED FOR ACEN!!!!!!!!!! Check out the contents of my suitcase... THIS IS HOW TESSIE PACKS FOR A TRIP!!!

Immediate reaction from when my friends saw my suitcase was,
"Oh Tessie........" *face-palm smack*

Food is the ultimate necessity for ACen! Hey, there IS clothes pack in there for your information, it's in the upper portion of my suitcase! Yes, I packed a AAA shirt... Well I have clothes in the pouch. The rest is the food I will be living off of. And yes food is uber important!!! I even have an electric kettle to make hot water for ramen! My many wonderful snacks and drinks can be seen arranged neatly in my suitcase. I have ramen, canned ravioli, pop tart, cheetos, oreos, root beer, different cookies, and there's a kit-kat bar buried under all of that somewhere. Hey I think I forgot to pack my toothbrush? I'm ready for ACen!!! I know I won't starve! Hey now! If this is what I pack for 3 days, imagine how crazy I pack for an overseas trip that will last for weeks?!

I'm off to continue studying and prepare any other last minute ACen related things like panel scheduling, I know I'm going to the para para panel!

Until next time, bye for now!

This morning I made a disturbingly profound discovery...
Which I refuse to talk about because I do not wish to ruin my mood.
I wish to remain silent for fear of incriminating another...
I PLEAD THE FIFTH!!!!

Work was absolutely boring today!!!
Waste of my time, they totally did not need me today, I don't know why they bother.
Earlier today I requested Miki to bring my i-pod plug that I use for my i-turtle.
So, on the way back to Lake in the Hills, I plugged my i-pod into the car radio... and I blasted AAA's "FIELD" in the car, that was so fun. After FIELD, "Crying Freeman" was the next song. My aunt said, "ohhhh he has such a sexy voice... this Shinjiro kid." I was thinking "why do you have an obsession with Shinjiro???" She said Naoya's voice was sexy too, when she heard "Soul Edge Boy"(no argument there). Nevermind, my aunt also likes the boys in "2PM." She just really likes hot and sexy singers...

Moving on...
Arata(my senpai) e-mailed me today.
It was regarding my Falcon USB card order. She finally sent it over today, the shipping was only 260yen, so cheap and the package will arrive in 5-10 days. I'm so happy, my awesome USB will arrive soon!!! I'm so excited. Senpai also e-mailed me some lovely pictures! The cherry blossoms are in bloom and they're sooooooooo beautiful!!!!! Now I really wanna go to Japan!!!

Look at these beautiful pictures:

Front row, third person... Arata-senpai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at how beautiful the sakura petals are just floating around in the pond!
Arigatou senpai!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We miss you Arata-senpai, please come visit us in Chicago soon.
OR I could always make a trip out to Japan this year!!!
Yeah!!!! Going to Japan would be fun, wouldn't it?!

Another thing....
Why was everyone talking about food today? The torture, now I'm hungry!
Talking about food is great, but I don't like the side effects... aka "hunger."
Minna, thank you for showing me such wonderful delicious foods!!!
I love your love for food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This totally made my day!!!!

Until next time, bye again!

Today was the final New Year celebration day at the restaurant.
This means I have to take down the special menu from the website. *doing that now*
And... done.
New Year at the restaurant was just as fun as last year, but... thanks to my dumb roommate, the credit card machine is still broken. It's hard to process credit cards without the machine, it was a hassle, but nothing I couldn't overcome. At least I know not to give up no matter how many problems I face.

Today went by pretty well, we just told customers it'd be cash only.
Thankfully, there weren't any problems.
It was abnormally busy for a Sunday, strange indeed.
No spies this time around, yay, now we can stop being paranoid...

I don't think the credit card machine will be repaired by tomorrow... If that's the case, I don't think we'll be able to survive another busy weekend next week... I hate imagining it! That machine better be up and running soon, because some customers refuse to dine for security and cash issues.

Since I got back to Chicago, I was just repairing Miki's computer, I'll get back to that later, but, I was reading a post made by my friend Alex and wow did it make me sad. There was this misunderstanding/misinterpretation at the AAA concert. It's not her fault, hey, I flip out and short circuit when I get interviewed by television stations, nothing but gibberish comes out of my mouth. We're only human, no one's perfect. Don't blame yourself girl, the idiots you claim to be pissed at you are mad at you for an illogical reason. And you DID NOT waste Shinjiro's time, he was probably confused out of his mind, but I'm sure he understood how difficult it must've been.

OKAY!!!!!!!
Miki's computer... HAS A VIRUS!!!
I've been working on it for a while... it's damn fricking malware!!!! It won't leave the desktop alone, it kept creating threats and pop-ups. I was working my through all of it before it spread! I felt like "Falcon" trying to stop a virus infection. Malware is no joke when you want to get rid of it without paying. Malware can completely destroy your system. I had to run a manual registry command and enter the coding into it. It took a while to type. But then the stupid malware attacks were bothering me, so I opened the task manager and found the virus's process root(what makes it active), I manually terminated the root. After doing that, the malware stopped, since it had nothing to run on at the moment. I got the program "HijackThis!" to check the logs to see if there were any other root commands caused by that malware. To my surprise, there was the malware, listed as some disguised item, I did an advanced check and discovered those command files belonged to that malware virus. Now that it has been confirmed, it went ahead and got myself a different program, MalwareBytes. I ran it... and virus terminated, WOHOO!!!!! So far, there hasn't been a virus that has outsmarted me! I totally felt like "Falcon" from "Bloody Monday."

CAPTURE COMPLETE!

I was going to write about something... somewhat important, but since the whole... thing with the..... uh-huh... it just seemed like bad timing, so I'll save it for another time, tomorrow or the next day or something...

YEAH!!!
THAT'S RIGHT!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!

Thai New Year, that is...

Yup! It's the year 2553!!!!
It's still 2010 according to the good old Gregorian calender we use around the rest of the world. I love celebrating Thai New Year with everybody!!!!! I'm so pumped!!!!! I get traditional "lucky money" offerings from elders, I get to stuff my face with celebratory sweets, (I did this a few years back) I get to go wild as I walk down the street in the parade, I get to watch people do a "dragon dance," and I get to take out my pent up anger on the water festival portion of the celebration.

The water festival IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
Hundreds of people attend!!!
Water symbolizes cleansing the soul and becoming purified. Normally we just dump buckets of water on people or hose people down. But we're crazy and turned it into AN ALL OUT WAR!!!!!! Which is why we go trigger happy on each other with the supersoakers.
I ASSUALT PEOPLE WITH SUPERSOAKERS!!!!
It's not a game, there are no sides. I just shoot everyone.
Whoever you shoot or drench is blessed with good luck, so it's a good thing to get shot at a lot, everybody wins!!!!! The water really does cleanse your soul, by the end of the day, everybody's tired and laughing like maniacs because everyone had fun.

We're also celebrating Thai New Year over at the restaurant too.
We have lots of yummy festival foods being served "Tapas" style. Many different yummy foods!!! I would put up the special menu for everyone to see... but nobody wants to see my boring menu.

By the way...
I got my new laptop TODAY!!!
It's SO SHINY!!!!!!!!

As you can tell... I've taken the liberty of customizing my desktop. I made that AAA wallpaper from the jigsaw piece picture I got from the official website. I made a little heart silhouette in the upper left corner.
Everything on here is gloss black, even the keyboard!  I'm scared of leaving grubby fingerprints on this thing. It's nice, it  has a webcam and mic. I've been mutilating the internal hard drive with my large programs.... please don't die on me... I've been adding basics, codecs to watch my Japanese stuff, VLC to watch my subbed stuff, iTunes for organizing my music, flash players for youtube, AIM, MSN, Photoshop(which took forever) and most importantly... MY EDITING SOFTWARE, both sound and video editing programs.

What a treat today, it's New Year and I got "Heartful," I haven't gotten to listen to yet until today, lucky me! The CD is REALLY good, I kid you not. That teasing intro was marvelous. I enjoyed a segment where the sound mixer had the clock ticking noise fade from right aux to left aux, it gave a sense of space and awareness. If one actually took the time to disable the gap delay between each track, you would notice that the transitions are clean! Each song on the disc is arranged in such a manner, not only the order of the track but also the sound clips at beginning and end of the songs. This makes each song flow smoothly into each other after every transition, it's just beautiful... It's almost like a non-stop remix(those who are familiar with the clubbing world), not in the sense that the tracks create one long continuous song, but rather they harmoniously change tempo into welcoming the next track. Who is AAA's sound mixer/technician? I want to shake their hand!

Heartful is a brilliant CD, I have never felt this way towards a "CD" before. I haven't really said a thing about the actual content of AAA's music, have I? Oops... I got so caught up with how amazing the whole CD was. The songs were nice... I liked all of them. Most of them were Eurobeat heavy and iTunes is labeling AAA as R&B for some odd reason... I listened to "Field" for the first time, it's such a pleasant song... something I can fall asleep to... not in  a bad way! Just in the sense that the song's gentle melody makes me relax. Relaxing songs are good for me, since I don't have very many relaxing songs.

Okay I'm getting sleepy... NO!!! NOT BECAUSE OF THE CD!!!!
It's getting late and my dad will be home any minute...
Until next time, bye for now.

This morning when I woke up rather late.
I signed onto the internet through my Wii, yes it has internet surfing capabilities.
It was because Miki was using the computer, so yeah...

Anyways, I log in to see a reply from one of my friends about an issue that had been bothering me. It was about some troublesome delinquents running amok once more. I run a restaurant and a bakery business(with my sister) as well. I help out every once and a while. My bakery is called "Plats Délicieux" and our competitor located a few blocks down the road is called "Avoir Envie de Doux." Notice how everything has French names... I dunno, Miki wanted something with a Eurasian flare, my lovely suggestion was "Wok-n-Spit." But Miki though a non-humorous French name would be better. For additional reference, we aren't just a bakery, we make real food too.

Anyways we sell awesome cupcakes!!!
We get lots of customers, because even though there's another bakery down the street, we still make the best cupcakes in town. So our consumerbase is bigger. Over the course of time, we've been noticing that the competitor bakery, Avoir Envie de Doux, has been making the same cupcakes with our recipe(I know so, cuz I've tasted them). Apparently, one of our regular customers has been giving their purchased cupcakes to the competitor and they've recreated our cupcakes and been passing it off as their own original creation. They never had those flavors before!

As a result of the stolen cupcake recipes and flavors, we've figured who the traitors are and created a self-made wanted poster for reference in knowing not to sell them anything(our blacklist). We know who they are. but they keep playing that card of innocent sympathy, I don't buy it one bit. A whole bunch of well kneaded lies. And of course Avoir Envie de Doux refuses to admit that they stole our cupcakes. A few cupcakes do slip out occasionally, but it's nothing we can't handle. I then later heard about the smugglers retiring from visits to my bakery. It was quiet for a while... yeah right! My friends have seen those smugglers around. There's no denying it now, they're still around even after saying they gave up on our cupcakes. Our cupcakes are irresistible, Avoir Envie de Doux still hates us for our deliciousness, which is probably why those smugglers enjoy causing more problems.

Everything that goes on in that small town is just insanity.

My friend gave me an update I wasn't so thrilled about. They even mentioned something about another person I was having issues with. That person, among the smugglers, named Mali. I checked out that newer post made by a different friend and yeah... things got clarified and I feel better. I detest Mali more then before now. I'm not mad, but the resentment's there. Doesn't Mali have a life other than ruining businesses? Mali and that head honcho of her's... makes me sick and I can't imagine there to be insane people in this world such as the ones contracted under Avoir Envie de Doux... Their craving never seems to be satisfied, they won't ever stop, just wait and see. If this continues to persist, I might actually press charges(I'm kidding, I won't go that far... yet).

Avoir Envie de Doux... you are going down!!!

That reminds me!
After class today, I bumped into Marvin! I haven't seen him the last time we went skating. He was writing a paper(which I seemed to be distracting him from finishing) in the computer lab. It was fun to talk to him again. We got into one of our tech talks about computers. I told him I would be receiving my Toshiba tomorrow, he then told me he was planning on buying a new Asus too. It was a $1000 one, the screen is bigger than mine, and it has an i7 processor, regardless, my processor speed is faster. Marvin then said, "really..... well, mine has a i7 and its a quad, so it runs faster than yours!" Then I responded with, "uhh... Marvin... you're reading the processor info wrong... everyone knows laptops can run quads, they're not capable and too small to run on a quad... laptops at most can only run on duo." Marvin realized it and said, "oh yeah you're right! my friend gave me inaccurate information then." I was sitting in a spot Marvin had reserved for his friend Jeff.

Jeff arrived and gave Marvin an evil "what the..?!" stare. Marvin quickly acted and said, "whoa whoa whoa, it's cool! this is my friend Tessie, I'm just letting her sit down, no worries." Sadly... I leave school at 3:30pm, so I left after I said hi to Jeff, wow... I've never seen a punk Asian before I saw Jeff, they exist?! He was decked out in all black, had a spiked choker, spiked hair, a good amount of piercings, and some really nice punk clothing. Marvin is friends with the most interesting people.

Wohoo!!!!!!!!!!!
My laptop is coming in tomorrow!!!!!!!
AHH!!!! OH NO!!! I didn't finish my homework!!!
I'm so uwedscred!!!(if you know pig-latin)

AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I resolved those Yesasia issues!!!!!!!!
I'm finally getting my 4th Anniversary DVD, which I've been wanting for the longest time!!!!!!!!

My day has been pretty decent...
Until next time, bye everyone.

Who am I kidding? Today was boring!!!!
I woke up later than usual and found my sister on the computer doing some online shopping. She was thinking about getting a Sansa MP3 player, but she was also paying for my new laptop. The shipping was free, but I still got hit with a $75 tax... so my new laptop ended up being almost $800 instead.

We did some shopping this morning too. I got a few things and a new pair of shoes. My shoes are so pink, that's a first... I hate pink, but the shoes were really cool. After shopping, we went to the restaurant. We arrived an hour early, so I took a nap in the car for a while. I mentioned this via phone... but I broke the restaurant's internet modem... and there's no more internet at the restaurant for now... I ended up posting comments from a phone. Typing from a phone that has a tiny keypad and me having long nails isn't very easy. I kept mispelling everything. After the very quiet workday finished, I sat around playing Gardening Mama on my DS... yes... work was tiring...

But now, I've returned to Chicago.
I'm back home.
But I accidentally left my laptop back in Lake in the Hills, but at least I can use the internet on my sister's desktop computer with a functional modem I have yet to break. I need to get started on my homework tomorrow morning. I need to get working on my videos and post them, hopefully before ACen starts next month.
epik_noodles: (Murderous)
I woke up around noon today, because I obviously slept late last night.
Like my new Yusuke icon? I made it years ago from being bored.
That lovely quote from the "Hana-Kimi" drama... Hahaha!! Murderous intent...

This afternoon (since I didn't wake up this morning) I did a good amount of online shopping on the computer. I was looking up new laptops for myself. I did some digging and found this really cool Toshiba model. It's so nice, it's got a 4gb ram, duo intel i3 processor(wish for a quad... not happening), it has a decent graphic card, dvd drive, multi-card reader, the processor speed runs at 2.16GHz, and it has a 320gb capacity. It sounds so sweet. This model... 4gb ram + 2.16GHz i3 processor = INSANE SPEED!!! *drools* As long as it's fast, it makes me happy. This laptop runs just as fast as a standard gaming laptop, but gaming laptops range in the $2000 price. This model here, the Toshiba Satellite L505-GS5035, runs at a rate similar to a gaming laptop but only costs around $700.

I need something with a fast processor to run my editing software. The Toshiba runs faster than my current broken down laptop. It's so slow that my edited videos lag at random points. My laptop is so damaged that I need to shove a toothpick into my port drive in order to prevent my headphone auxiliary jack from falling out. When I get my new laptop... I can finally edit in peace at high speeds. To hide this from my parents, I bought the same screen size and my current laptop has a "Baka ga Miru" decal on it, it's fortunately reusable. I can just stick the decal onto my new laptop, the perfect cover-up.

I can't wait to put all my editing software on it!!!

Later on, after finding my dream notebook... I finally got to see "Ponyo." That movie was sooooooo cute. Ponyo was adorable. Oh man... Miyazaki never fails to amaze me with beautiful animated films. It's so similar to the story of "The Little Mermaid." But minus the creepy sea witch Ursula. Ponyo is watered down (meaning it conveys simple messages and is a very innocent movie). Actually... Ponyo didn't look like there were any villains in the movie. Like... Ponyo's dad came off a little evil and mean, but halfway through the movie the dad realizes the situation more clearly and begins to accept things and become more open-minded. Overall it was a great movie! I loved this quote from the movie, SO CUTE "Ponyo loves Sosuke, Ponyo loves Sosuke!!!"

I love Ponyo so much now!!!
Until next, bye everyone

Okay... what's with all of the conspiracy?!
DW was all good and dandy before I left for art class.
I leave for a few hours and return to find it in pieces....
So much for maintaining the peace.

Ignore my revelation above...
A few good things happened today.
One important thing is that for the first time in three years, I signed onto AIM again... I guess I haven't touched AIM because I was too afraid of something horrible I might see on my buddy list... The last time I used AIM was when I talked to a person whom I thought was my friend... they later betrayed me by completely tearing my feelings into shreds after the time I had been released from the hospital during my time of weakness. I'm still finding it difficult to recover from that betrayal mentally... I break into tears over the thought of it.

Today... a few friends of mine gave me their AIM names. So... I went onto AIM... and that username was still on my buddy list. I cried immediately after seeing that "name." I tried to pull myself together and with luck... I gathered enough courage to delete that name in which I still believe to be vile. Then I recomposed myself and added my new friends, whom I knew that I could trust. After an few minutes, I got a reply from Alex as a confirmation of her adding me on her buddy list. I was happy that I got on AIM again, after neglecting it for so long out of a stupid fear.
Yay! Both of them are on my buddy list. I have people to talk to, other than a brick wall.

Oh yeah! This morning, I finally got my 2tb Calvary External Hard Drive. Ahhhhh.... the wonderful future music, videos, movies, and dramas I will put on this magnificent machine....*drool* I can't wait! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I going to get the FALCON USB CARD!!!! The same one "Falcon" the hacker uses in "Bloody Monday." The TBS store is selling very well made replicas of the original used in the drama. When Falcon works his magic, he plugs his USB into the computer and it automatically runs his hacking program! I read the description of the replica being sold and it ALSO runs Falcon's software, but not as a hacking software, but as a mini computer game which only makes it look like you're hacking saving the world!!! My friend in Japan, Arata, is buying it for me!!!! She will ship it to Chicago when she gets it. I'm so excited!!!! Not only do I have a Bloody Monday computer(I modded it so it has Falcon's logo on it's cover) but now I will be getting the Bloody Monday Falcon USB card, what a perfect pair!!! I feel like such a tech nerd!!!! I saw the Hornet USB card(he's the hacker from the enemy's side). It looks a little lame, it's nice that it looks like the one in the show, but it's normal and has a cap on it. The Falcon USB has a retractable port and it says "SAVE THE DATA" on it.

Art class was the same, lecture about paintings I tried to refrain from yawning because I got caught last time. Oh my professor has eagle eyes... I left at the usual time... but my ride was nowhere in sight...

After getting picked up and returning home, I ate dinner(I had some free funky salisbury steak, airport food...yuck, my poor sensitive tastes) and made a comment or two on DW. Alex made me laugh again with that awesome pic of hers, hahahaha... Alex you are just very creative with your time. I did a little random web surfing and then I polished Miki's figure skates. And here I am now... typing this journal entry... Wow this day was pretty detailed.

Until next time... yeah, bye!
